The Duchess of Amalfi plot overview so far

Antonio (the queens steward) returns from France. He talks of the French government and how all the "yes men" were fired and how their government should be the same.

Ferdinand requests the duchess to employ Bosola to look after the horses. Little did she know Bosola is spying for Ferdinand and the cardinal as they do not want the duchess to marry again. The conversation between Ferdinand and the duchess ends after Ferdinand said "This was my father's poniard: do you see?

I'd be loath to see't look rusty, 'cause 'twas his" this quote is a threat and means that he is saying to his sister I wouldn't want to use this dagger to kill you.

After the conversation the duchess said to her maid "I will wink and choose a husband" showing that she will defy her brothers and marry again. This quote furthermore supports the point that any man will have her.
